COCONUT PUMPKIN




It's the fall season, we can see pumpkin  everywhere. Just thought of converting simple and easy sweet into pumpkin using few ingredients. Without any artificial colors , we can make easy these pumpkin sweet in 15 minutes. Kids will surely enjoy the preparation as well as sweet. This is one of the yummy and attractive sweet. It will be a good start for Diwali sweet. Definitely good treat for coconut lovers and kids. Let's jump to the recipe.


INGREDIENT

Shredded  coconut   - 2 Cup

Condensed milk      - 175g

Ghee                         - 1 Tsp 

Full fat milk             - 2 Tbsp

Cardamom               - 2

Saffron strand        - a pinch

Carrot                       - 1 

Cloves                     - 15 

PROCEDURE 

1. In a wide pan, add ghee and add in the shredded fresh coconut.


2. Roast the coconut for a minute to increase the flavor.

3. Then pour the condensed milk and saute for a minute.


4.Now add  full fat milk , saffron and mix well .

5. Cook until  moisture completely absorbed.


6. Switch off the flame. 

7. Let them cool until it reaches warm enough to handle with bare hand.

8. Take small portions of the mixture and make small ball shaped laddoo with the ghee greased hand.



9. Now the fun part starts

10. Grate carrot using small size grater.


11. Saute the grated carrot for a minute to remove the moisture.

12. Roll the laddoo in shredded carrot.

13. Press the grated carrot to the laddoo to make it smooth and press little bit to form pumpkin shape.

14. Using toothpick or chopstick make impressions like pumpkin from top to bottom.

15. Insert clove ( ball part to the laddoo) at the top to make pumpkin stem.

16. Now attractive pumpkin coconut sweet is ready without any artificial colors.
