 Let's move on to the special NEIVEDIYAM on this auspicious day.




PAAL PAYASAM

INGREDIENTS 

Basmati rice             - 1/3 Cup 

Full fat milk              - 3 Cup 

Unbleached Sugar   - 1/3 Cup 

Ghee                          - 2 Tbsp 

Cardamon crushed - 2 

Broken  cashew       - 5

Raisin                        - 5

PROCEDURE 

1. Roast  basmati rice  with  a tbsp of ghee. (Shouldn't turn rice into brown)

2. Add 3 Cup milk and allow it to boil.

3. Cook the rice in the milk at the medium flame with occasional stirring to avoid burning of milk at the bottom.

4. Once the rice get cooked, add the unbleached Sugar and mix well.

5. Allow the sugar to dissolve and boil for around 2 minutes.

6. Meanwhile roast cashew and raisin in remaining ghee.

7. Add crushed cardamom, crushed saffron .

8. Top it with roasted cashew and raisin.

9. Switch off the flame.

10. Yummy Paal payasam is ready for neivediyam.







PANAKAM

INGREDIENTS 

Jaggery powder                     - 1/4 Cup 

Water                                      - 2 Cup 

Dry ginger powder                - 1 Tsp 

Freshly crushed cardamom - 1

Lemon                                     - 1 small 

PROCEDURE

1. Dissolve jaggery powder in water .

2. Filter to remove impurities.

3. Then add crushed cardamom, dry ginger powder and freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix well.

4. Simple PANAKAM is ready for neivediyam.
