LORD VENKATACHALAPATHY USING AIR DRY MODELLING CLAY

After making the  Shiva Linga using air dry modelling clay, I like to try Lord Venkatachalapathy , but I felt it is little  trickier than Shivalinga. Then I got the idea of making head part alone.

First I made trepazium shape as the base. Then made two cone shaped model with blend top. Apply some water on the base and fix one cone shaped model in the inverted position to the base to form face. It was looked like a trophy cup. Then apply little water and fix the another cone model with blended cone position at the top to form crown .

Then adding the earrings for the richest God. For earrings, I made 4 small similar circles and 2 tear drop shapes. Arranged the two circles one above the other and tear drop at the top using very little water as glue. I followed the similar pattern for the another earrings. Allow to dry the earrings for few minutes.

Fixed the two earrings on the either sides of  the inverted cone ie face by applying little water. Carefully glued the two earrings on the same line. It was little hard to glue the earrings. For me, the earrings fell down more than 5 times because of the small size.

Then allowed to air dry for around 24 hrs or until it completely dry.

Then comes the favorite part painting. Initially painted the base and face with stone black color acrylic  paint. painted golden color for crown.  Then painted the earrings with yellowish orange. Allow the paint to dry for few minutes. Then the crown and earring were decorated to make it like a jewels.

After the paint dried, drew Namam  using poster white paint and kumkum with red color as shown in the picture. Beautiful parts is painting medium size dot in the chin.

wow, Lord Venkatachalapathy is ready.
