POMFRET FISH FRY

             Pomfret is also called as butterfish. It tastes delicious. It is rich in protein and omega 3- fatty acid. It is rich in vitamin D, zinc, calcium and iron. It is good for brain development, eye sight, skin and hair growth
  
             Pomfret has a shiny skin with less scales, very easy to clean. Lets move on to the recipe.
(same recipe can also followed with other fishes too) 


INGREDIENTS

Pomfret Fish               - 3

Curry leaves               - 2 sprig

Oil                                 - for frying

Marination

Red chili powder        -  2 Tsp

Pepper                         - 1 Tsp

Coriander seed            - 1 Tsp

Roasted channa dal     - 1 Tbsp

Garlic                          - 4 - 5 pods

Turmeric Powder       - 1/2 Tsp 

Oil                               - 1 Tbsp

Salt                              - as needed

Lemon                        - 1/2

PROCEDURE

1, Grind all the marination ingredients in a mixie to a fine paste.

2. Clean the fishes by removing the inner parts, scales, tails and fins.

3. Cut the fishes into stripe pieces or mark gashes on the fish (to fry as  whole fish).

4. Apply the fine paste all over the fish, if using whole fish apply the paste deep inside the gashes too.

5. Marinate it for 15- 30 minutes.

6. In a hot tawa, add little oil for shallow fry .

7. Then add in the chopped curry leaves and marinated whole fish or pieces of fish.

8. Shallow fry in medium flame until it turns golden brown on both sides.

9, Tasty and healthy protein rich fish fry is ready to serve
