SWEET STUFFED POORI

          

           



INGREDIENTS

For Poori Dough

Wheat flour             -1 Cup

Wheat rava             - 1 Tbsp

Salt                         - 1 Tsp

Oil                          - 1 Tsp

Water                     - as needed 

For Stuffing

Roasted Channa dal      - 1/2 cup

(Pottukadalai) 

Jaggerry   Powder         -  4- 5 Tbsp 

Cardamon                   -  1

Coconut grated           - 2Tbsp

Milk (cold)                 - as needed

Ghee                          - 1 Tsp

Oil for frying

PROCEDURE

1. Soak wheat rava  in little water just to immerse the rava.

2. Grind Roasted channa dal, cardamon , jaggerry powder to coarse powder using pulse mode twice or thrice.

3. Transfer the coarse powder in a bowl, then add grated coconut, ghee and mix together.

4.  Then add milk little by little until it form together.

5. Make small balls out of it. Stuffing is ready.

5. Meanwhile, for poori dough  add wheat flour, salt, oil to the soaked rava.

6. Add water little by little to make poori dough of it.

7. Like normal poori, flatten the dough and place small ball of stuffing in the centre.

           

8. Then close the edges to make a ball.

9. Using rolling pin, roll to make circle.(should not be too thick or thin)

10. Be carefully, stuffing should not come out of the dough.

11. Heat oil in a pan, when the oil is hot , drop the rolled poori into the oil (oil should hot enough to puff the poori quickly otherwise it absorbs more oil.



12. After poori puffed, turn over and cook for a minute .

   


13. Transfer the poori to a plate lined with paper towel to absorb the excess oil.

14. Now yummy puff sweet poori is ready to serve.
