Most of us have concern about the dust created by the ashes of the incense. Usually I collect the ashes by placing paper towel under the stand (having guilt of wasting paper towel each time) . Finally I got idea from a video of creating own incense stand using air dry clay.
INGREDIENTS
Air dry clay
Acrylic paint
Long leaf for tracing ( optional)
PROCEDURE
1. Take a big ball of dough and roll flat depends on the length and the thickness.
2. It should not too thin, medium thickness since incense have to stand on the hole of the stand.
3. Calculate the length by 1 inches more than the incense.
4. Place a long leaf over the flattened clay, trace and cut the shape of leaf.
5. Leaf stalk should be thick and little wide which help the incense to stand easily.
6. Make 2 holes in the leaf stalk.
7. Then draw mid vein and lateral veins as per the wishes using tooth pick or small stick.
8. Allow to dry for 24 hrs.
9. Then paint as per the wish.
10. Allow the paint to dry.
11. Now simple and superb incense stand is ready for Pooja.
