Butter is a nutritonal fat. It is rich in Vitamin A, E, k and D. It regulates thyroid and adrenal gland. It has good for tooth, eye and skin health. It is effective against fungal and yeast infection. It boosts the immune system. It has antioxidants and anti tumour properties.
Churning butter is so exciting to do. Especially kids enjoy it. Let's churn butter from whipping cream.
INGREDIENTS
Heavy Whipping cream - 1 Cup
Ice cold water - 4 Cups
PROCEDURE
1. Refrigerate whisk and large bowl for 15 - 30 or freeze for 5 - 10 minutes. Get ready with ice cold water.
2. Pour in the cold whipping cream and start to beat in high speed with electric whisk or blender until it becomes thick and fluffy (If using the blender don't allow it to become hot).
3. Then turn the speed to medium and whisk until it starts releasing liquid.
4. Then turn to low speed or it splatter all over.
5. Whisk until it butter churn and rounded up as solid.
6. Using spatula move rounded the solid to the side of the bowl and press the liquid from the churned
butter.
7. Liquid is the buttermilk. ( But it is the uncultured butter milk). It can be use to make baking or roti instead of water.
8. Now carefully remove the butter and drop in a bowl of cold water to remove the buttermilk completely. Repeat once or twice until it form clear cold water.
9. Now carefully remove the butter and squeeze the water completely and shape the butter as block ( or desire shape).
10. Wrap the butter in the butter Paper and refrigerate.
11. It stays good in refrigerator for a week and freeze for month.
12. Enjoy butter as such or make ghee from it.
