As all know, Ragi is the king of millets. It is rich in fibre, protein, calcium, vitamin D and iron. It regulates blood sugar and blood cholesterol.
Egg is rich in protein, vitamins and minerals. It has selenium which promotes immune health. It has good fats. Preferred to consume free range egg ( egg from cage free hens), it has 3- 4 times higher Vitamin D than normal egg.
Ragi egg dosa is nutrient rich and filling breakfast for all age people. Especially it is the best breakfast for school going kids. Let's move on to the recipe.
INGREDIENTS
Ragi flour - 1 Cup
Wheat flour - 1/2 Cup
Buttermilk - 1 Cup
Salt - as needed
Onion - 1/4 Cup
Chopped
Green chilli - 2
Cumin seed - 1/2 Tsp
Hing - 1/4 Tsp
Egg - 1
Pepper - 1/2
Crushed
Water - as needed
PROCEDURE
1. In a bowl , add ragi flour, wheat Flour, salt and mix with buttermilk ( or beated curd) and water to rava dosa consistency.
2. Then add in the onion, hing, jeera.
3. In a hot dosa tawa (preferable iron tawa), pour the dosa batter like rava dosa.
4. Add oil on the surrounding, while the dosa is half cooked, reduce the flame to medium low, add egg in the centre of the dosa and spread the egg all over the dosa.
5. Move the flame to medium, then sprinkle pepper and salt.
6. When the egg is half done, flip the dosa.
7. Cook for a minute.
8. Crispy healthy, tasty and filling dosa is ready to serve with coconut chutney.
