SIMPLE WHOLE WHEAT PAROTA




INGREDIENTS

Whole wheat flour  - 1 Cup

Milk                            -  1 Cup

Oil                               -  as needed

Water                         - as needed

Salt                             -  1/2 Tsp


PROCEDURE

1. In a bowl, add whole wheat flour, salt and 1 Tsp oil and mix well.

2. Add warm milk and mix well.

3. Then add water little by little to make a soft dough.

4. Kneed well for 5 to 10 minutes by adding little oil gradually.

5. Then apply oil on the top of the dough and rest for 10 - 15 min. ( Optional )

6. Divide the dough into medium size balls.

7. Apply oil on the top of the balls to prevent drying.



8. Take a large plate and stretch the balls as thin as possible.



9. Then fold it back and forth to form a fan ,stretch as much you can and roll to make spiral.



10. Apply oil at the top of the spiral dough and press gently with hand to spread thick flat parotta.



11. Heat a tawa and cook the parotta on medium low flame until reaches the brown spots on both side.

12. Drizzle oil on the sides of parotta while cooking.    



13. Follow the same procedure to all the balls and arrange parottas vertically.

14. To get layers in the parottas by gently tapping on the sides of the parottas.

15. Yummy whole wheat quick parottas are ready to taste with any salna.
