TRADITIONAL URAD DAL KALI




INGREDIENTS

Split Urad dal  - 1/4 Cup
    (With skin)
Raw rice           - 1 Cup
Fenugreek        - 1 Tbsp
Salt                     - a pinch
Palm jaggery    - 1 big
Water                 - as needed
Grated Coconut- 1 Cup

PROCEDURE

1. Break Palm jaggery into small pieces and heat  by adding  1 Cup of  water .
2. Heat till it get dissolved.
3. Then filtered to remove the impurities.
4. Now Palm jaggery syrup is ready.
5. The make  coarse powder of Urad , rice and fenugreek together.
6. Add salt and water to the powdered mixture to make a butter milk consistency.
7. Place the mixture in a stove in lower flame and stir continuously to prevent lumps.



8. In few minutes mixture starts to thick.
9. After the mixture completely cooked , add the Palm jaggery syrup.
10. Stir until it gets slightly thick.


11. Mix the grated coconut with the Kali and switch off the flame after a minute.
12. Yummy and healthy Urad DAL KALI is ready to taste.
