INGREDIENTS :
Idli rice - 2 Cup
Black split urad dal - 3/4 Cup
Fenugreek seed - 1/2 Tsp
Cooked Rice - 1 Cup
Salt - as required
PROCEDURE:
1. Wash and soak rice and black split urad dal separately for at least 4 hrs
2. Wash and fenugreek along with urad dal.
3. After 4 hrs, Initially, grind black split urad dal and fenugreek into smooth batter with little water in a mixie
4. Then pour the batter in a vessel.
5. Secondly grind the soaked drained idli rice into smooth batter with water as required.
6. Transfer into the same vessel.
7. Thirdly, grind cooked rice with little water.
8. Add the batter into the vessel and mix all the batter nicely with required salt.
9. Then keep aside for overnight fermentation.
10. Next day, pour the fermented batter in the greesed idli plate and steam for about 10 minutes.
11. Then allow the idli to cool down for a while and unmould the idli using wet spoon.
12. Now spongy soft and healthy idli is ready to serve .
