SWEET POTATO STUFFED WHEAT ROTI OR POLI

INGREDIENTS

Wheat Flour - 1 cup
Sweet Potato - 1
Jaggery powder  - 1 tbsp
Oil - 2tsp
Ghee - as needed
Hot water  - as needed
Salt - 1 tsp

PROCEDURES

ROTI DOUGH

1. Take wheat flour in a bowl
2. Add salt ,a tsp of oil and mix well
3. Then add hot water as needed and knead well to make soft dough
4. Then apply a tsp oil to prevent from drying.
5. Then close with damp cloth.
6. Kept it for 15 to 30 min


STUFFING

1. Wash sweet potato and slice into pieces and steam cook for 5 - 10 min
                           
2. Then remove the skin of sweet potato and smashed well.
3. Then add jaggery powder ( depends on sweetness of sweet potato)
4. Mix well and make into small balls.
                           
5. Now stuffing is ready.

POLI MAKING

1. Make equal size of ball from the dough as the stuffing.

                                       
2. Roll into a medium size circle and place the stuffing and pinch all the edges towards the centre.
3. Flatten with the hand and roll like Poli.





4. Heat the tawa and drizzle some ghee and add the Poli and cook both size side in medium heat
5. Press gently for even cooking and add ghee as needed.
6. Now healthy Sweet potato Poli is ready to taste.
