Ragi Cake

INGREDIENTS

Ragi flour           - 3/4 cup
Wheat flour        - 3/4 cup
Jaggery powder - 1 cup
Yogurt                - 1/3 cup
Unsalted Butter  - 2/3 cup (melted)
Milk                    - 3/4 cup (cold)
Baking powder   - 1 tsp
Baking soda       - 1/2 tsp
Vanilla extract     - 1 tsp
Salt                     - a pinch

PROCEDURE

1. Preheat oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit.
2. Sieve the dry ingredients ( such as Ragi flour, wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder        and salt) together and keep aside.
3. In a bowl add jaggery powder, melted butter and mix well.
4. Then add curd and vanilla extract and mix well
5. Finally add milk and mix well. 
6. It’s time to add the sieved dry ingredients and mix gently.
7. Grease the cake pan with butter or oil and dust with flour or use baking sheet.
8. Pour the cake mixture in the cake pan.
9. Tap the cake pan gently to remove bubbles.
10. Bake the cake at 350 degree F for 30 minutes.
11.check with toothpick comes out clean.
12. Once the cake done, let it cool for 5 -10 min and transfer to wire rack.
13. You can serve the healthy cake as such. 

                               

14. To make it special I spread some store bought cream cheese frosting after the cake cool down completely.
15. Decorated with strawberries and homemade cheese cookies.
16. Now superb spongy cake is ready to taste.
