Dc3tog. Leaving last loop on hook work 3dc in stitch(es), yo and draw through all loops.

50 grams of Worsted Weight Yarn in each Main & Contrast Colors
5.00mm crochet hook

GAUGE - 5dc and 2 rows of dc's measures approx 1" square

Placemat : (Made in rounds without turning)
  • With Main Color yarn ch5, sl st to first ch to form a ring, ch3, work 11dc in ring, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Fasten off.
  • Round 2 - Join in contrast color yarn between ch3 and first dc, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1,ch1, * 1sc in space between next 2dc's, ch1, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first sc. (12sc + 12ch spaces)
  • Round 3 - sl st to first ch1 space, ch3, dc2tog (see abbrev above) in same space,* ch2, dc3tog in next ch1 space, * rpt from * to * to end, ch2, sl st to top of ch3. Fasten off.
  • Round 4 - Join main color yarn to first ch2 space, ch3, 3dc in same space, skip dc3tog,* 4dc in next ch2 space, skip dc3tog, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3.
  • Round 5 - ch3, 1dc in first dc, ch2, * dc2tog over next 2dc, ch2, * rpt from * to * end,sl st to top of ch3. Fasten off.
  • Round 6 - Join in contrast color yarn to first ch2 space, (ch3, 2dc) in same space, * skip dc2tog, 3dc in next ch2 space, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3. Fasten off.
  • Round 7 - Using main color yarn, rejoin to space between first two 3dc groups, ch1,1sc in base of ch1, * ch4, skip 3dc, 1sc in space between next 3dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ch4, sl st to first sc.
  • Round 8 - sl st to first ch4 space, ch3, dc3tog in same space, * ch4, dc4tog in next ch4 space, * rpt form * to * to end, ch4, sl st to top of ch3. Fasten off.
  • Round 9 - Join contrast color yarn to first ch4 space, work ch3, 3dc in same space,* skip dc4tog, 4dc in next ch4 space, *  rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3.
  • Round 10 - ch3, 1dc in first dc, ch2, dc2tog over next 2dc, * ch2, dc2tog over next 2dc,* rpt form * to * to end, ch2, sl st to top of ch3. Fasten off.
  • Round 11 - Join main color yarn to first ch2 space, work ch3, 2dc in same space,* skip dc2tog, 3dc in next ch2 space, *  rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3. Fasten off.
  • Round 12 - Join contrast color yarn to space between first two 3dc groups, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch4, skip 3dc, 1sc between next two 3dc groups, * rpt from * to end,ch4, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
  • Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose ends of yarn.
