Broccoli 🥦 Kootu

INGREDIENTS
 Broccoli    - 1 head
Chana dal
      +             - 1/4 cup
Moong dal
Salt               - as needed

TO GRIND
Coconut 🥥 - 1/4 cup
Jeera            - 1/2tsp
Rice flour    - 1 tsp
Green chili   - 2

TO TEMPER

Oil          -2 tsp
Red chili -2
Mustard  - 1 tsp
Urad dal  - 1 tsp
Curry leaves- 1 spring
Hing        - 1 pinch

PROCEDURE


1. Remove the  floret from broccoli bunch



and blanch it


2. Chop  the young stem from bunch and keep a keep aside
3. Soak the dal minimum half and hour.
4. Take a pan and add water and allow to boil and then add dal
5. After the dal 90% done . Add salt and chopped broccoli stem.
6. After few minutes add blanched broccoli.
7. Meanwhile grind the ingredients in the ‘to grind’ into paste
8. Add the paste and allow to boil.
9. Lasltly temper with the  items in the ‘to temper’ table.



10. Now yummy 😋 broccoli kootu is ready to serve.
